Player Profiles
Liam Lyng
Biography
Liam Lyng has been a relatively recent and welcome addition to the club and the Junior A forwards in the last three seasons. A big man well able to hold up a ball, he can kick with his left and he believes also his right. Hailing from Kilkenny, he is commonly heard at training bemoaning Dublins rise to innevitable hurling dominance. Liam has the ability to score in the big games and bang in a goal or 3 from time to time, until of course the infamous "fierce tight hammer Eddie" excuse comes out of the back pocket. He is a dedicated trainer and gives his all in every match. In his spare time he plays a bit of small ball down the road at Faughs. Part of the 2011 Conlon Cup Team, Liam celebrated as if he was with the club 25 years! Stephen Murrays house is still going through the rebuilding stages after that party as we speak, good luck to Stephen and all his family as they get closer and closer to moving back in!
